Many people that come to the island have demanding jobs and want nothing more to do than lay in a hammock and read a book from our library. If you need something more energetic we have a full size volleyball court and a sea kayak which is free to residents. Swimming and snorkeling in front of the resort is as good as anywhere on the island with patches of coral 100 metres from the shore.
Bicycles and motorbikes are available for hire on the island and a boat can be hired for fishing.
Squid can be caught from the beach on most days.
We can organize snorkeling trips to Bamboo and Mosquito Island which are less than 1 hour boat ride away and have some of the best coral in Thailand. Other popular boat trips are around Koh Jum Island or to Phi Phi Island. If you want to leave the island late in the afternoon for the airport we can arrange a boat and have a taxi waiting for you on the mainland.
Don’t tell the wife and kids but there are lizards 2.5 metres and snakes 4.5 metres long on the island. We have about two dozen tortoises that were originally rescued from traps and are now breeding in the resort. Kingfisher, heron, sea eagles and monkeys are often seen. Hornbills can also be seen on the hill at the north of the island. Sea otters and anteaters (Pangolin) are also around.
